Requirements

• 3+ years of related fund accounting experience is preferred, or Public Accounting auditing Private Equity/ REITS (Big 4 or midsize)
• Relevant fund accounting experience, with a focus on GAAP for investment companies
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects
• Advanced Excel skills including building models to support accounting records and conclusions
• Strong analytical skills, with a focus on detail and the ability to deliver an organized work-products

Day to Day:

• Preparation of capital calls and distributions
• Financial statements prepared on a GAAP basis for investment companies (with footnotes), profit amp; loss allocations, financial highlights and ratio
• Prepare journal entries
• Assist in all aspects of quarterly and annual financial reports
• Coordinate and communicate with banks, legal counsel and limited partners
• Process wire transfers
• Perform bank reconciliations
• Prepare audit schedules and coordinate with Fund auditors
• Analyze general ledger accounts
• Actively monitor amp; adhere to multiple reporting requirements across multiple fund vehicles
• Perform ad-hoc reporting to limited partners/internal departments
• Analyze limited partnership agreements
