The mission the Senior Financial Analyst is to cut through the noise to help our product teams make better decisions. You will build and lead by leveraging a unique combination of analytical skills, strategic problem solving, and business intuition across a range of high-impact projects to shape the future of the products at Apogee.

Apogee is headquartered in Austin, TX and this role is approved to work from home in the US. You will report to the Chief Technology Officer.

The BIG picture:

Strategy. Provide management visibility into data-driven insights that inform the business’s strategic direction, product development priorities and financial performance of Apogee’s product portfolio.

Collaboration. Work closely with internal departments and leaders to determine KPIs and contribute to product strategy. You will act as a force multiplier, enhancing the team's efforts and impact.

Analytics. Build, maintain and improve the existing business intelligence and analytics tools across the department (and business).

Here's your day to day:

  • Build, manage, and develop a set of analytics to use to evaluate and price out services across the range of Apogee product areas
  • Build relationships with product, engineering, design, sales, and ops to drive strong cross-functional collaboration and prioritization
  • Partner closely with product teams from question to execution, using data-driven insights to ensure we are building the right things
  • Report out on the achievements and impact of initatives
  • Ensure that our data is trustworthy, reliable, and easy to access
  • Build and maintain a simple, yet powerful pricing models to enable financial analysis of profit margin per service area
  • Analyze and report out on ROI for all products
  • Leverage data in Salesforce.com and other sources to help model and forecast demand for new services

Requirements

  • Excellent at breaking down unstructured problems and synthesizing many disparate sources of information into clear and actionable insights
  • Digital native who can use our suite of core systems/applications: ServiceNow, SalesForce, and NetSuite
  • Strong analytical foundation in SQL and experimentation, with the ability to coach other members of the Product team
  • Executive level communication skills including ability to use verbal and written communication to express ideas clearly and succinctly
  • Ability to operate a high degree of autonomy and ownership
  • Curious, low ego, and enjoy learning from and working with a wide range of people
  • 5+ years of experience in analytical roles spanning product analytics, data science, product management, consulting, and finance.
