The Role

Common Energy is looking for an experienced customer service professional to join our team.

In this role, you will work with the existing customer service team, responsible for answering customer questions by call and email, explaining our community solar platform to interested potential customers and conducting new customer account validations.

Responsibilities

  • Become an expert in community solar
  • Create great outcomes for our customers by answering their calls and questions, and making outbound calls to help customers enroll
  • Perform new customer account validations and account reviews
  • Explain Common Energy's mission and free clean energy program to interested prospects via phone, email and chat, and convince others to enroll
  • Case Management - resolving escalated customer issues
  • Support your colleagues and team to maintain our positive, friendly, service-minded culture
  • Maintain our A+ Better Business Bureau rating and obtain and post positive reviews on multiple platforms, e.g., Facebook, Google, etc.
  • Maintain our existing high standards for customer service, and suggest improvements to internal processes as needed
  • Contribute to a positive, fun work environment!

Requirements

Who We’re Looking For:

  • You have customer service experience (2-5 years), and exceptional communication skills
  • You have experience working in the solar energy industry, and are passionate about it
  • You are a fast learner, and can become an expert in our product in order to confidently answer customer questions
  • You are professional and courteous with customers
  • You have a passion for clean energy and positive environmental impact
  • You have permanent authorization to work for any employer in the U.S. without sponsorship
