Production Scheduler
HIROTEC Manufacturing America, located in Fayetteville, Tennessee, is part of the HIROTEC Group, headquartered in Hiroshima, Japan. HIROTEC Group delivers body-in-white closures, exhaust systems, flexible closure tooling, and stamping dies to automotive customers around the world. With a US headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI, HIROTEC Group operates 31 facilities in eight countries.
Currently, we are seeking a Production Scheduler to become a part of the HIROTEC team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and/or revise production schedules for the plant according to work order specifications, established priorities, and availability or capability of workers, parts, material, machines, and equipment.
- Establishes priorities for specific customer orders.
- Confers with department supervisors to determine progress of work and to provide information on changes in processing methods received from methods or engineering departments.
- Maintains inventory levels needed to meet production schedule and responsible for inventory accuracy on finished goods and WIP.
- Evaluates schedules based on routings (cycle times) in SAP.
- Confers with production and press personnel to resolve problems affecting production schedules, such as part shortages, equipment downtime, etc.
- Ability to respond and react quickly to changing customer volumes.
- Promote a smooth communication flow between departments to help prevent obstacles.
- Coordinate with sales, maintenance/engineering, purchasing, finance, and production teams to develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly scheduling parameters based on customer requirements.
- Responsible for preparation and scheduling of inbound and outbound shipments, providing customers with order confirmations, and preparation/completion of documentation, including paperwork for shipments and reviewing shipment documents, such as bill of lading, invoices, and packing lists.
- Logistics, including import/export, understandings and regulations.
- Coordinate all packaging (racks, returnables, etc.) with vendors/customers.
- Other duties and projects may be assigned based on the operational objectives of the company.
Ideal candidate should have a High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year supply chain experience in automotive/manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to resolve complex issues. Understanding of stamping, automation, and manufacturing applications is preferred. SAP or other ERP experience is preferred.
