We are seeking a personable technologist with a passion for solving complex problems and building solutions for clients.

Working with a team of client specialists, and alongside our developers and engineers, you will assist customers to implement our APIs and utilize our overall telephony platform. The ideal candidate is kind, proactive, hardworking and will take ownership and responsibility for client success. You will combine a keen ability to intuit actual customer needs with the ability to communicate and bring technical solutions to them. You will use your knowledge and experience in software development to create harmony between our customers, our product, and our people.

As the ideal candidate for this position, you are comfortable not knowing all the answers right away, but curious to learn as many of them as possible, so you can become a systems application expert. You love working with people and don't hesitate to pick up the phone to help a customer. You understand that support is not easy, but you are excited to learn something new every day and are up for the challenge!

We have a nimble, cross-functional team fostering collaboration and a strong client experience. As a small company, we have opportunities for you to get involved at all levels of the organization, in whatever areas ultimately interest you the most.

Requirements

What we're looking for:

  • Someone proficient in at least one programming language (Python, Ruby, Java, Perl, JavaScript, etc.), with experience developing (for fun or work), but understands this is NOT a full-time developer role.
  • Experience working in a customer-facing position (customer service, retail, or other role involving customer contact)
  • Experience using SQL, a REST API, and wrangling JSON
  • Working understanding of JavaScript
  • Loves learning new things and fearless when encountering new technologies
  • Passion for providing superior customer experiences
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good troubleshooting instincts
  • Bonus if you have any understanding of, or experience with, SIP, VOIP or SMS.
