Harbr is a fully customisable data commerce platform, that customers can use to launch, scale and manage their data business. We enable clients like Moody's Analytics to build a white-labelled storefront or marketplace, from which they can securely deliver refined customer experiences, high-value products and realise revenue streams.

The context

We’re in the middle of an ambitious scaling journey at Harbr. We’ve been around since 2017, but until May 2020 had been operating in stealth and building a world class product. In November 2020, we emerged from stealth and announced our $38.5m Series A, led by Dawn Capital and Tiger Global. Since then, we've been rapidly making focussed improvements to the platform, while building a portfolio of exciting clients, and supercharging data businesses globally.

The goal now is to shape our industry, realise the potential of data commerce, and power the worlds data products. The market is increasingly ready to commercialise their data, and we are on hand with a purpose-built platform designed to realise that ambition. With that in mind we’re looking for our newest SDR to join the team from Atlanta, helping scale our sales operation in the US.

Requirements

What you'll be doing.

At Harbr, our Sales Development Representatives are pivotal to our company’s success. You will be a key member of our best-in-class sales organization and will be the first interaction many of our customers have with anyone at Harbr! It's the role of our SDR's to help our potential customers realize how Harbr can drive their data business forward. You'll help navigate them through our sales process, from prospect stage, through qualification, up until we introduce our technical sales specialists and launch proof of concepts etc.


  • Our SDR's are responsible for taking new sales leads through the sales cycle, from prospect stage to technical POC. These leads will come primarily from two channels -
    • Firstly, you'll be responsible for following up on inbound leads in the North America territory, which will passed from marketing. You'll take the lead on following these leads, qualifying potential customers, and engaging with them to secure a first stage call.
    • Secondly, you'll be responsible for using various channels such as phone, email and LinkedIn, to generate new leads. You'll be running intelligent, multi-channel engagement campaigns to target, engage, educate and qualify prospective Harbr customers.
  • You'll be responsible for running specific, targeted campaigns to engage with pre-identified prospects, as well as researching and mapping the market to identify new prospects.
  • Sales is a team sport, and you'll work closely with our wider Sales Organisation and Marketing team to develop, enhance and maintain the outbound messaging received by our prospects.
  • You'll be selling complex, enterprise software to large B2B orgs, and learning how to run an efficient multi-faceted sales cycle that can win exciting landmark customers.

Core Competencies

  • We're looking for someone who is passionate about selling, loves working with people, and who is excited to rapidly progress their career in B2B sales.
  • You'll need to be comfortable with the trials and tribulations that come with being a salesperson. You'll need to be confident, resilient, comfortable selling to people, and an excellent communicator.
  • The ideal candidate will be someone who can be smart, tactical and independent. You'll be excited by the idea of mapping out your market, using your initiative to start conversations with the right people, and think on your feet as you handle objections
  • We can provide a platform for the right candidate to learn, and develop their career. However, we would like the candidate for this role to have a foundational level of sales experience - at least 1 year of experience selling software in a B2B context is preferred.
