Job Description
The UX Designer will lead UX design projects to add features to Allurion digital products, which include Allruion Insights (a web app used by healthcare professionals) and Allurion's iOS and Android mobile apps (used by consumers in our weight loss programs). Allurion Insights is a browser-based application offered to weight loss clinics to monitor and care for their patients. Allurion Insights includes automated monitoring of weight loss analytics to better follow patient progress and online text/video communications to facilitate remote telehealth care.?The Allurion mobile apps are used by consumers in our weight loss programs to track their weight loss progress and work with their healthcare providers, who help them succeed in meeting their weight loss goals. As UX Designer for Allurion, you will work with a smart, driven team to create the user experience for the product.
As UX Designer your responsibilities include:
- End-to-end user experience, including gathering requirements, high level concepts and wireframes, final designs for handoffs to developers, and working with developers as they code designs, details are described below.
- Working closely with a team that led by a product manager and including engineers, data scientists, writers, QA engineers, and subject matter experts in health and wellness, specifically health related behavior change
- Translate business strategy and insights from user research into UX vision and detailed designs
- Detailed design and prototyping in Figma
- Working closely with other UX designers to ensure a consistent user experience across all of our digital products
- Working closely with our brand marketing team to extend brand guidelines across our digital products
- Collaborating with product management to set the product strategy and roadmap for Allurion Insights
- Collaborating with our customer service team to design solutions that will decrease customer service issues
- Investigate and analyze requests from internal stakeholders, customers and partners
- Support product communications with demos and prototypes of the UX design
- Planning and conducting user research tests, surveys and interviews with a remote, global user base
- Support releases with designs and feedback for engineers as features are developed
- Participate in daily scrum meetings, planning, reviews and retrospectives?
What we are looking for in you:
- 3+ years experience in UX design, with specific experience designing native mobile apps in iOS and/or Android
- Experience planning and conducting UX research, including usability testing for new features and live app testing
- Expert-level skills in Figma, which we use heavily
- Knowledge of designing UX for webapp development tools
- Participated in agile teams as a UX designer, including doing all detailed designs needed to support product strategy and detailed releases
- Experience working with and contributing to design systems that are used across digital products
- Strong visual design skills, with a degree in graphic design preferred
- Excellent communicator with team members, colleagues, and senior management
- Combines a strong sense of individual responsibility with eagerness to collaborate
- High-energy team member who brings new ideas and challenges the status quo

- Comfortable working within a growth startup environment
- Although the position is fully remote, we do expect candidates to US-based and able to work regular hours in the Eastern Time Zone
