A Charlotte based construction company is seeking an experienced Purchasing Associate to facilitate the acquisition of materials within procing and delivery guidelines
Requirements
- Receive, store, stock, maintain and distribute inventory.
- Create purchase orders for the acquisition of materials.
- Research, interview, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain prices and specifications.
- Order inventory items and non-inventory items as needed.
- Schedule deliveries, in coordination with Superintendent and Foreman
- Approve invoices against receipts and PO’s.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Purchasing Assistant
Experience in construction/plumbing a plus
Must be able to read take offs and blueprints
Software Skills
Required: MS Excel Intermediate
MS Word Intermediate
Data entry and basic reporting
