Summary
As Spartan’s Property Accountant, you will be located at our corporate headquarters and will support the financial and accounting reporting of our subsidiaries. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of an intricate and fast-paced accounting infrastructure. We are looking for someone who is a self-learner, a builder of processes, and comfortable maintaining a work-life balance in a fast-paced high-growth environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintain the Income Statement and Balance Sheet for approximately 20 individual self-storage entities
- Accurately and efficiently record all transactions in the general ledger, researching and resolving any variances
- Reconcile all bank accounts for assigned entities
- Maintain schedules for Property Taxes and Insurance for all entities
- Participate in the documentation and update of processes and procedures and recommend changes for process improvement initiatives
- Work with Operations and Asset Management teams on any financial issues
Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 0-3 years of property accounting experience
- A drive to learn and do as much as possible in an entrepreneurial setting
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Experience with Netsuite preferred
Benefits
