About the Role

We are looking for a Dispatch Manager to join us on our journey to facilitate a digital revolution in the B2B supply chain. The Dispatch Manager is responsible for overseeing the activities of a complex, international team of teams that is rapidly growing. In this role, this individual will manage, coach and train 10-12 team leads, representing up to 40 individual dispatchers to ensure that all deliveries are made on time and with care, drivers our platform maximize they utilization and revenue, and adherence to all relevant Highway Safety/DOT Regulations

The Dispatch Manager is responsible for handling any issues that arise during a shiftsuch as escalations, accidents, or other emergenciesand ensuring that the dispatchers have the resources they need to handle these situations appropriately.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all managing all activities Dispatch Operations Team including load selection and route strategy, truck dispatch, HOS adherence, team schedule adherence
  • Manages all aspects of the dispatching process, including hiring, training, scheduling, monitoring performance, and responding to customer complaints
  • Organizes, plans, and implements transportation solutions for assigned carriers that utilize the best cost option to maximize profitability and driver satisfaction
  • Works with the Director of Operations to review and analyze dispatch team performance
  • Partners with the Senior Product Manager and Development Team to ensure continuous technology improvement and help guide product strategy with tactical level feedback
  • Monitors and promotes safety and compliance with company policies and federal, state, and local regulations in all areas of the operation
  • Develops and implements department policies to ensure all staff members are trained
  • Trains and supervise employees who answer and place calls
  • Analyzes call data to identify problem areas that may require additional staff training or equipment upgrades
  • Maintaining records of calls to track response times and improve service quality

Requirements

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Strong leadership qualities: Previous management experience required
  • Experience in the transportation industry: Over the Road (OTR) Trucking experience a major plus
  • Prior Freight Brokerage, Dispatcher, or Carrier Management experience a plus
  • High aptitude for process design, and improvement and implementation
  • Understanding of and ability to utilize the KPIs associated with dispatch operations
  • The ability to multi-task in a fast past environment while being detail oriented
  • Skilled in Technology; Microsoft Word amp; Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree required


Compensation: $90110k
