What do we do?

ICEYE is building and operating its commercial constellation of small Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites with SAR data available to customers. Our satellites acquire images of Earth at any time even when it’s cloudy or dark providing commercial and government partners with unmatched persistent monitoring capabilities. Information derived from our SAR images helps customers make data-driven decisions to address time-critical challenges in various sectors, such as maritime, disaster management, insurance, and finance.

About the role?

ICEYE US is searching for a People amp; Culture Business Partner to lead Human Resources for a rapidly growing organization in the U.S. The Role will be based in the U.S. Headquarters which is in Irvine, CA.

The People amp; Culture Business Partner serves as a first-line contact for employees and managers within the business. Leveraging strong skills in employee relations, People amp; Culture administration, and critical thinking skills, the Business Partner is a key partner to our organization. The role is critical in executing initiatives and providing great internal employee support.

Responsibilities

  • Provides exceptional customer service to managers and employees, including responding to all inquiries quickly, completely, and professionally
  • Builds a positive work environment and plays a critical role in engagement and retention by understanding working conditions and concerns of ICEYE employees
  • Collaborate with partners at ICEYE Global (in Finland) to align with ICEYE’s global People amp; Culture strategy and programs as appropriate
  • Lead or assist in talent acquisition by working with external recruiters
  • Leads efforts for smooth onboarding and off-boarding process for employees
  • Conducts or assists with new hire orientation.
  • Implement People amp; Culture development and technical training programs
  • Track and follow-up on required ICEYE US training (i.e. sexual harrassment training, diversity, equity, inclusion training)
  • Maintains fluency in and ensures consistent application of company policies/procedures
  • Coaches managers regarding policy interpretation, best practices, employee behavior, performance management and development
  • Implements new and improved processes as the organization grows
  • Ensures timely and appropriate documentation of all personnel-related matters
  • Assists managers with risk assessment and issue diagnosis and resolution
  • Takes accountability for identification, prioritizing, and resolving/escalating issues within established timelines
  • When necessary, conduct investigations and resolve issues in partnership with appropriate internal and external partners (i.e. legal)
  • Helps ensure compliance with all federal and state labor law requirements through support of corporate compliance efforts, as needed

Requirements

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of Human Resources (People amp; Culture) Experience
  • Excellent customer service, communications, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in all areas of HR: performance management, compensation, talent acquisition, compliance, and development/management coaching
  • Interpersonal and communication skills that quickly establish rapport, collaboration, trust, confidence and credibility with leaders and employees
  • Planning and organization skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, and work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills across all organization levels
  • Resourceful, innovative and creative problem solver

May require occasional travel to Finland
