Job Description

Robotics Software Engineer - San Francisco

San Francisco, CA 94107

Must be a US Citizen or Green card holder.

Be hands-on to tackle and solve an array of practical electromechanical technical problems.

  • Implement cloud and client-side applications to coordinate the motion between multiple moving systems.
  • Build predictable movement patterns for robot-robot interactions.
  • Write detailed test procedures and tooling for validating production systems.
  • Communicate across mechanical, electrical, and software domains to investigate and understand underlying design decisions.

Must Haves

Strong expertise in at least one of the following areas :

  • Understanding sensor selection and data acquisition of LIDAR, Radar, or Camera-based sensors and their usage in Object Detection, Classification, and Pose Estimation applications of a physical motion system.
  • Design and execution of navigation and controls for multi-axis motion systems.
  • Analysis and guidance of actuator loads, sizing, and calibration. Understanding motor controller software interfaces and understanding of electromechanical interfaces.

General Requirements

  • Ability to take an abstract problem and break it down into an implementable system - starting with a creative approach and dynamically building it up into a sophisticated solution.
  • Comfortable with C++ software development.debugging, testing, and verification at multiple software development and system integration levels.
  • Detailed understanding of electromechanical and communication interfaces.
  • Operational usage of source control and build tools such as Git and CMake
  • Minimum two years of proven experience in directly-related areas
