Job Description

As a Product Designer, you'll work with the Product and Engineering teams to give our users brilliant experiences that are engaging and easy to use. You'll help shape our products by understanding what our users want and turning that into intuitive designs. You'll test these designs often as they go from idea to finished product. If you constantly think about and analyze other people's experiences with products, we'd like to hear from you.

The person in this job will report to our Head of Design.


Role's Responsibilies
  • Design and test new experiences for our cloud-based apps using mockups, wireframes, flow diagrams, sketches, and other product design artifacts.
  • Work as a member of a cross-functional agile product development team, partnering with product managers and engineers to set the product's strategy and create amazing solutions based on research.
  • Work with research experts to do generative research and usability tests with users online.
  • Speak for the user and spread the word about user experience throughout the organization.
  • Be a partner on the product team who can handle problems with patience, determination, and grit
  • Utilize patterns, content, and solutions made by our Design team for efficiency and speed.

Requirements

  • Please include a portfolio with your application (and a password, if necessary);
  • at least 5 years of experience designing world-class apps and a strong design portfolio
  • Strong ability to do research and put it all together, including contextual inquiry.
  • Excellent communication skills and a track record of presenting designs and explaining design decisions to both cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Expertise with top design programs like Figma, Sketch, or the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Extreme ownership, a drive to act, and the skills to do well in ambiguity.
  • Ability to design as a group, exploring and promoting new ideas, especially ones that aren't your own.
  • You are self-aware and lead with compassion.
  • Enjoy the challenges of solving the very complex and nuanced needs of B2C customers by using critical thinking and system thinking.
  • Be able to make decisions based on data and put the best interests of our customers first.
  • Have a Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent work experience) in graphic design, HCI, UX, or a related field of study, or a Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent work experience) in a related field of study.
