Beckett is seeking a Web Developer to help build and deploy visually-appealing digital user experiences. The ideal candidate is a strong designer with extensive technical expertise, who can work alongside our design, product and engineering teams and independently as-needed to create, maintain, and update our websites. Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other web services and program applications is essential to succeeding in this role. You will ensure the final product reflects the design vision and delivers an intuitive, responsive user interface with cross-browser compatibility. Additionally, you will troubleshoot and improve existing designs and accessibility issues.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience
- An online sophisticated design portfolio, demonstrating multiple examples of your work for web platforms
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, startup environment and have immediate impact
Objectives
- Consistently create well-designed, clean, tested code using best practices for web development, including mobile and responsive design
- Create websites and user interfaces using standard HTML/CSS practices
- Stay plugged into emerging technologies and industry trends and apply them to operations and activities
- Ability to distill complex concepts and turn around rigorous flows and mockups reflecting a range of simple, elegant, and technically-feasible solutions
Responsibilities
- Create high fidelity mockups and translate them to a responsive, intuitive user experience
- Perform testing and debugging
- Updating and maintaining the site as needed
- Meet regularly with business stakeholders and management to understand and refine business and functional requirements and determine project scopes and specifications
- Designing wireframes/mockups using prototyping tools like Figma, Adobe XD or Sketch, with experience translating these wireframes into HTML
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Associates in web design, graphic design, or computer science or related certificates
- Expert knowledge of web applications, programming languages, and web services, such as APIs, CSS, CSS3, cross-browser compatibility, HTML, HTML5, JavaScript, and JQuery, and Python
- Working knowledge of UX/UI design principles
- Solid knowledge of wireframing and prototyping tools (e.g. Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and InVision)
- SEO knowledge
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects across the product with different stakeholders and timelines

Preferred Qualifications
