Summary
The role of the Import Coordinator is to oversee the delivery of incoming goods and ensuring that they comply with customs regulations. The Import Coordinator will also handle the logistics of transporting goods to the ultimate consignee/BCO. Please note this position is for full time in our Norfolk, VA location.
Requirements
Position responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Coordinate Import shipments from port of arrival
- Arrange pickup and delivery for inland transportation
- Track the shipment to ensure it has reached the destination
- Calculates rates with the ability to convert pricing and rates
- Obtain and create quotes for shipments and source best method of transportation
- Ensure SOP along with best practices and efficiencies
- Maintain communications with the customers, carriers/vendors
- Handling and resolving Import troubleshooting issues
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High School or GED
- Bachelor’s Degree is encouraged but not required
- 2+ years in an Import position
- 2+ years in the Logistics or Shipping Industry
- Global Supply Chain knowledge helpful
