Job Description

  • We are looking for a Technical Account Manager with a deep understanding of carrier product development. The individual should have experience with the overall carrier product approval process, including technical acceptance management, carrier requirement comprehension, 3rd party lab coordination, and device validation management. The individual should be a self-starter who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.


What you'll do

  • Serve as the primary contact person for carrier-related product engineering and realization groups
  • Coordinate with carriers and supervise the product approval process
  • Work closely with carrier-related engineering organization and internal Ramp;D teams on a daily basis to ensure issues can be addressed in a timely manner
  • Obtain and address the latest carrier requirements and technology compliance to internal development teams
  • Track all project deliverables from internal, 3rd parties and carriers against the agreed project plans
  • Provide leadership, direction, and support to Ramp;D teams to ensure device certifications are completed on time
  • Manage the project risk and provide status updates to the management team
  • Coordinate meetings and/or joint investigations with carriers’ subject matter experts, 3rd party labs and chipset vendors to troubleshoot and resolve blocking issues
  • Lead resolution of post-launch field problems and product issues
  • Provide oversight of day-to-day project and program control of a multi-location/function team
  • Create project validation schedules and prepare status reports.
  • Establish timelines, develop project strategies and manage expectations for successful completion of projects
  • Provide technical guidance as needed

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or another relevant field, Master's preferred
  • Minimum 5-7 years working for either a smartphone OEM or telecom carrier
  • An understanding of carrier business models and the process to get product technically approved by the carrier
  • Extensive knowledge of wireless technology, 2G/3G/4G/5G
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Interest in working in an early-stage team environment
  • Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects while working with quality and efficiency in mind
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Native English speaker. Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is a plus
