CJT is actively seeking a talented and motivated, licensed Landscape Architect to become an integral part of the CJT team in Durham, North Carolina-.
We are seeking a Landscape Architect with minimum five-years of experience to manage projects and develop design concepts and technical solutions for commercial and residential projects. Your responsibilities will include developing illustrative graphics, production management of permit plans, contributing to project reports, collaborating with consultants and preparing client presentations.
You will:
- Oversee and contribute to all stages of project development, from project scoping through construction administration
- Manage, schedule and produce the schematic design, design development and construction documents of multiple landscape architecture projects.
- Assemble design development and permit drawings with a high level of detail and clarity
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and other team members.
- Create project presentations including illustrative graphics, digital and hand renderings, and technical data.
- Construction administration.
- Assist with business development initiatives and special projects.x
Requirements
- Licensed to practice in North Carolina or eligible for reciprocity within six months of employment.
- Professional degree in Landscape Architecture (BLA or MLA) or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment with tight deadlines.
- Strong proficiency with CAD, Sketch-Up, Adobe Creative Suite specifically Photoshop or similar.
- Strong hand-graphics amp; rendering skills, hand perspectives a plus!
- LEED and sustainable design experience a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to interface with clients, other project disciplines and regulatory personnel is required.
- Strong presentation skills to municipal boards, review agencies and council/committees.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented self-starter with ability to prioritize.
- Collaborative and professional work ethic.
Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and coordinate with other engineering disciplines, clients, and contractors to complete tasks and meet project budgets and deadlines.
