Job Description

The Marketing Manager will play an integral role in developing and furthering USALLIANCE Financial’s marketing, content, and brand strategies. This individual will work closely with the VP of Marketing and Digital Experience to collaborate on the development of the strategic marketing plan, department budget, and annual department objectives based on organization goals and milestones; oversee and manage the day to day duties and responsibilities of the Marketing Team as a whole; and focus on using data-driven research and metrics to generate marketing lists, create research reports, plan campaigns, and track response rates and ROI of marketing campaigns. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for overseeing advertising placement, content strategy, and all static marketing channels to ensure accuracy and completeness of messages, consistency with brand and compliance. This individual will guide the team in creating complex and diverse content, as well as assist in creating marketing campaigns using social media, SEO/SEM strategy, web reporting, and analytics. This position will function in a hybrid work model capacity consisting of some days on-site at our Chelmsford, MA office and other days working remotely #LI-Hybrid

  • Develop, execute, and report on the annual marketing plan and budget in alignment with the strategic goals of the credit union.
  • Manage the development of promotional campaigns, publications, media and in-branch advertising, direct mail, and online communications ensuring that all activities and materials achieve goals set forth in the marketing plan.
  • Oversee advertising placement, content strategy, and all static marketing channels through agency partners and/or internal resources to ensure accuracy and completeness of messages, consistency with brand, compliance, and timely updates.
  • Ensure our brand look and voice are represented correctly across all assets, such as advertisements, emails, banners, signage, etc.
  • Drive demand, lead generation, and engagement with target audiences; recognize that member experience is key and a focus on automation and its integration with all our digital marketing initiatives is crucial.
  • Evaluate, analyze, and report on the performance of marketing efforts for effectiveness and make recommendations to drive future strategies, optimize existing performance and identify opportunities for improved efficiency, effectiveness, and member experience.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance to ensure marketing content adheres to legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive digital marketing efforts, with particular focus on website management, SEM/SEO strategy, web reporting and analytics.
  • Maintain positive lines of communication between Marketing department, frontline staff, and all credit union employees as appropriate regarding marketing activities, promotional results, and upcoming programs. Keep staff informed and prepared for marketing initiatives and campaigns, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in digital and social media marketing, with previous experience in advertising strategy and placement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to write clearly, concisely, creatively, and effectively.
  • Knowledge of market research techniques and ability to review and analyze data and metrics to ascertain the effectiveness of programs/campaigns.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, project management, and decision-making skills.
  • Analytical skills to identify marketing and credit union trends, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Knowledge of financial services industry, including an understanding of bank or credit union products and target audiences, as well as issues, trends, and developments in the financial and fintech industry.
  • 3-5 years experience with email marketing preferred.
  • 3-5 years previous financial industry experience preferred.
  • Possess a strong work ethic, dedication, motivation, and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively.
  • Experience in managing a small team of professionals required.
