Job Description
As a rapidly growing company, we are looking for qualified production designer(s) to help our continued growth and expansion. The ideal candidate would be able to efficiently work in Adobe Creative Suite, preparing proofs for customers, creating print files and have an understanding of the operation of wide/grand format printers. Note, a majority of the workload will be production design (setting up print files, proofing, working with production team) with 10-20% of the workload being creative design.
Ultimate Image Printing services small to mid sized companies on a national basis. Our projects are seen throughout industries such as retail stores, experiential events, sporting stadiums and commercial office spaces. Our continued growth and investment into new technologies has created the need for a qualified Production Designer.
The right candidate must have a basic understanding of printing and graphics terminology, excellent computer skills as well as experience with handling customer supplied files. We will train the candidate to process files to fit within our workflow, digital printers and finishing equipment.

- Detail-oriented and organized with an ability to prioritize work and minimize production downtime
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Mechanically inclined, good with hands
- Ability to learn quickly and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Team Player
- Ability to lift, move, load and unload rolls of paper and board substrates into the machines
- Keep work areas neat, clean and keep materials and tools organized
- Work overtime as needed
- Keeps accurate time keeping of work.
- Flexible work schedule. e.g. mandatory shifts can change from 8hrs-10hrs
- Ability to work independently and without supervision
- Ability to work over-time, weekends, and various shifts. Ability to work with constant exposure to printing inks/chemicals and constant or intermittent sounds.
- Ability to exert up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 50+ lbs.
- Involves sitting, walking or standing for periods of time as well as climbing, balancing, and stooping.
KNOWLEDGE BASE REQUIRED
- PRINTING
- Fluent in using Adobe Creative Suit (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign)
