Parallel is seeking a Shipping and Receiving warehouse associate for a wire company in Niagara Falls , NY.

Payrate : $17.00 - $18.00 , dependent on experience

Shift : 1st shift, Monday - Friday , 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

**This is a NON-SMOKING PROPERTY , no smoking or vaping on premise or in parking lot**

Responsibilities :

• Operate a forklift to load/ unload trucks and move product from warehouse areas
• Accurately read and use a micro meter to identify various products for machine operation department
• Complete paperwork for shipments outgoing to customers and inbound for inventory
• Lifting up to 50 lbs as needed
• Train with machine operation department to grow into fully trained machine operator
• Contact supplier or shipper if a mistake is identified
• Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place
• Ensure invoices are signed and paid for satisfactory deliveries
• Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt
• Collaborate with procurement staff to list expected deliveries
• Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged
• Verify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, price etc.)

• Schedule large shipments and plan logistics to ensure that there is sufficient storage space for incoming items17.00

Requirements

• Steel Toed Boots
• Recent experience operating a forklift
• Ability to accurately read a micrometer
• Prior experience in a shipping or receiving role
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs
• Reliable transportation and good attendance

• Basic math and recording abilities
• Great communication and interpersonal abilities
• Keen eye for detail
