Job Description

Ragtag bunch of hooligans seeks a creative copywriter that knows how to make brands connect with humans in the better-for-you and natural food space.

About the job:

We are looking for a self-motivated, strategic Copywriter to join our team and write compelling and engaging copy across all of our clients. You’ve gotta be a jack of all trades who gets just as excited about writing Instagram captions as you do display ads, blogs and maybe even the occasional voiceover script. Our copywriter will have a passion for understanding insights that drive audiences to engage, and loves putting a real, human voice behind each brand.

About You:

  • You are witty, but humble about how damn witty you are
  • You know the grammar rules well enough to know which ones you can break
  • You write compelling and strategic short form (social posts and ads, display ads, etc.) and long-form copy as necessary (blogs, web, video scripts, etc.) for a variety of our clients, mostly in the natural food space
  • You collaborate, brainstorm, and ideate with the strategy and creative teams on larger campaigns, brand initiatives, digital content, print, web, and PR
  • You partner with designers, art directors, creatives and strategists to bring concepts to life and see them all the way through execution
  • You have an independent spirit. You have a point of view. You are not afraid of taking the lead and developing strategically sound ideas.
  • You partner with the media and strategy teams to ensure copy performs to its best across different mediums
  • You are excited about generating ideas and copy on quick turnarounds (24 hours or less)
  • You cultivate, understand and consistently deliver on unique brand voice and tone for each client
  • You proofread and edit client or 3rd party copy
  • You have a strong work ethic and work smart, not just hard you know how to prioritize a to-do list but you’re not afraid to have fun too

Requirements

  • A degree in journalism, English, or creative writing
  • 3+ years creative agency experience conceptualizing and executing marketing campaigns
  • Proven ability to create copy for a variety of audiences and brands
  • Demonstrated body of work across multiple mediums, with emphasis on digital and social media
  • Experience writing both short form and long form copy, preferably in an agency setting
  • Experience working with CPG brands, especially in the food space, is a major bonus
  • Must provide a link to your online portfolio for consideration
