We are looking for a full-time Payroll amp; Compliance Coordinator based in our Lindon, Utah office.

About the Role

Behind every payment we process are brilliant people reimagining the future of fintech. Help us build our finance function as a Payroll Coordinator. You will be responsible for payroll processing and making sure changes that affect payroll are properly
implemented. You'll work with HR and with benefit providers to make sure employee profiles are configured and the company is correctly billed for benefits. You will also assist with compliance duties such as sales tax reporting and annual 1099, W-2 filings, P60D and P11D filings. NMI is fortunate to be in a growth stage, so in addition to the day to day operations, you will work within and across departments to implement systems, improve processes and expand existing policies globally for payroll. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working within a fast-paced environment while still maintaining a close attention to detail.

What will I be doing?

  • Oversee and improve semi-monthly payroll process, including implementing adjustments and changes to employment status, compensation, and withholdings for benefits and payroll taxes.
  • Calculate and include sales commissions in payroll.
  • Reviewing ADP quarterly filings for accuracy.
  • Maintain employee roster and historical employee information with adequate detail to support financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Interface with HR to properly implement payroll changes related to employment and benefits.
  • Coordinate the recurring payment to outside contractors.
  • Audit billings from benefit vendors to ensure they agree with employee enrollments and payroll withholdings.
  • Learn and proficiently use systems for payroll and benefits management, including vendor portals.
  • Provide analysis and reports on payroll and benefits, and assist with analysis and other ad hoc projects.
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of annual 1099s, W-2s, P60s amp; P11Ds.

Requirements

  • Associates or Bachelors degree preferred
  • 4+ years of payroll experience
  • Ability to reconcile data from multiple sources
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and G Suite
  • High ethical standards and commitment to maintain sensitive information
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Is able to learn new systems and processes quickly and adapt as needed
  • Experience with ADP

  • Understanding of US GAAP and accounting best practices
  • Familiarity with sales tax calculations and reporting
  • Familiarity with annual 1099 and W-2 filings
  • Familiarity with annual P60 amp; P11D(b) filings
  • Experience with NetSuite, ADP Workforce Now, ADP iHCM and Concur
  • Familiarity with processing payroll in California, New York and United Kingdom
