Outside Sales Business Development Director

Employment: Full-time

Compensation: Competitive salary + company bonus + performance bonus

Location: Lexington, Ky or Cincinnati, Ohio. Travel throughout the greater KY, OH, IN, IL region.

Job Description: Solar Energy Solutions (SES) is seeking an outside sales business development director with more than 10 years experience in Commercial amp; Industrial sales development who will be responsible for sourcing and closing new sales opportunities. The primary role will include increasing revenue and profitability by managing and negotiating with clients, generating leads, qualifying prospects, researching sales competition, and closing sales.

Required Skills

  • Building solid relationships with commercial, industrial, utility, engineering, architectural, municipal, and agricultural firms with the goal of securing a majority share of their solar opportunities.
  • Developing in-depth knowledge of company offerings to identify profitable business opportunities.
  • Directing marketing efforts by presenting market information to marketing director and suggesting strategies to expand market.
  • Assessing marketing and sales as well as supplier and vendor operations and recommending improvements as needed.
  • Supporting the preparation of all documentation required for requests for proposals (RFPs).
  • Researching emerging trends and recommending new company offerings to satisfy customers’ needs. This will include a summary of the opportunity, costs and resources required to effectively support and manage profitable growth.
  • Developing and managing strategic partnerships to grow business.
  • Presenting business or marketing opportunities to company executives and management.
