We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to manage organization of key client projects. As our project manager, your job will be to coordinate people and processes to ensure that our projects are delivered on time and produce the desired results. You will be the go-to person for everything involving a project's organization and timeline. Project Manager Requirements Project managers should have a background in business skills, management, budgeting and analysis. You should be an excellent communicator and comfortable managing multiple tasks. You also need to be a team player and have a problem-solving aptitude.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate internal resources and subcontractors/vendors for the execution of projects
- Manage shop drawing process
- Read and interpret contract and shop drawings
- Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders as needed for Fabrication Supervisor
- Coordinate shop fabrication schedule with jobsite schedule
- Maintain communication with customer project team
- Communicate with clients about product specifications, vendors about purchases, and staff about the status of projects.
- Manage completion of any subcontracted items
- Provide input to accounting for invoices and progress billing needs.
- Monitor, record and track field productivity.
- Attend job meetings as required to assure Project Manager’s responsibilities are achieved.
- Prepare change orders
- Regularly evaluate field installation/production methods, looking for ways to improve productivity and efficiency
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
- Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
- Manage the relationship with the client
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks
- Establish and maintain relationships with subcontractors
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Requirements
- 1 Year of experience with steel fabrication and in management (Preferred)
- Relevant work experience (Preferred)
- Organized
- Collaborative
- Excellent Computer Skills (Microsoft Office, Tekla, TrimbleConnect, TeklaEPM)
- Able to communicate well with others, in person, over the phone and email
- Able to read, interpret, work from construction plans and shop drawings
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
