Parallel Employment has a Need for A CMM Programmer this is a Direct Hire Position. As a key contributor to our new product launch team, the CMM Programmer creates inspection programs and determines other inspection methods to evaluate machined part quality vs customer specifications. The Programmer also supports engineering implementation of product revisions and process improvements, as well as providing other inspection services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

1. Set up, program and complete dimensional inspections using a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).
2. Interpret complicated drawings, control plans, process instructions and work instructions to determine features to be inspected.
3. Use micrometers, calipers, and an extensive array of other gages as required to complete planned inspections.
4. Document detailed inspection results and full dimensional layouts for submission to customers.

Requirements

MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):

• MINIMUM 2 years of experience performing dimensional inspections using a CMM with PC-DMIS software
• Previous inspection experience using an extensive array of gauges (micrometers, calipers, height gages, etc.)
• Strong understanding of blueprints including GDamp;T, mechanical measuring instruments and inspection techniques
• Highschool Diploma or GED

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Formal training in GDamp;T, metrology and CMM programming
• PC-DMIS CAD/CAM experience
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with MS Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word)
