Job Description

At Advancing Eco Agriculture, our mission is to increase the health of humans and our planet by changing the way food is grown on commercial farms. We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager to help us expand our market and create partnerships. You will be the front of the company and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective expansion and partnership strategy. The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through forging strong relationships within the Regenerative Agronomy space.


Responsibilities
  • Develop a growth strategy focused on impact, profitability and customer satisfaction
  • Investor relations working with organizations and groups seeking to invest in the future of regenerative agriculture
  • Research new and adjacent markets, organizations and individuals to find and pursue new growth opportunities
  • Develop and manage lasting relationships with prospective partners and clients, from arranging the first meetings to closing on formal partnerships
  • Promote the company’s products/services, addressing and foreseeing customer and stakeholder objectives
  • Identify and facilitate collaborations with government and private foundations (including grant writing), universities and research institutions

Requirements

  • Regenerative agriculture market knowledge and IQ (understanding and appreciation of the holistic, systems approach to agriculture)
  • Ability to "close the deal" through persistence, relationship management and commitment to bringing different parties together to formalize an agreement and pursuit in earnest of business opportunities
  • Proven working experience in corporate development, business development, investor relations, sales or related area
  • Financial analysis skills to design, model and present investment and growth opportunities
  • Ability to build rapport with wide range of existing and potential stakeholders (small and large farmers, small and large corporations, investors, universities, government)
  • Time management and planning skills to simultaneously manage and driver forward multiple projects
  • Strong IT fluency in a multitude of presentation and communication tools
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in business, marketing or related field
