Job Summary
The Advocacy Associate is a full-time, hybrid position, combining remote and in-person work in the Boston area, and reporting directly to the Director of Advocacy and Policy. The ideal applicant would be a motivated learner with a passion for and understanding of federal, state and/or local political policy advocacy. The Advocacy Associate will support the YouthBuild USA Advocacy Team in bridging the gap between decision-makers in the Administration and Congress and local YouthBuild programs to make the case for policy and funding decisions that will benefit those programs and the young people they serve. The applicant must be well organized, savvy, professional, and an outstanding communicator. The applicant should be highly motivated, have excellent time-management skills, and demonstrate sensitivity to working with people of diverse cultural, political and religious backgrounds.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
The Advocacy Associate will assist the Advocacy Team in a number of essential roles related to data collection and presentation, materials production, and tracking topics and personnel in the Administration and in Congress. Additionally, the Associate will support the Advocacy Team in organizing YouthBuild Capitol Hill Days, both virtual and in-person.
