Job Description

We’re seeking a Product Designer to to turn our software into easy-to-use products for our clients as we head into an exciting period of growth.

Your responsibilities will include gathering user requirements, designing graphic elements, navigation, flows and prototypes to define the UX/UI of our product

  • You'll be the 3rd person in the design team and therefore play a big part in building the future culture and practices. PushPress has been design-led since our founding giving design a seat at the table in everything we do.
  • We design software for boutique studio owners, staff and their members, if you are into fitness or sport in any way, you will be working among like-minded people
  • We're a small company and that means there are lots of opportunities to help out with all manner of things outside your normal role (such as strategy or product management). This is great if you're looking to expand your skills and get startup experience.
A typical day may include:
  • Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
  • Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
  • Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like
  • Curating and expanding on our current design system
  • Conduct brainstorm meetings with key stakeholders
  • Present work in progress
  • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems
  • Designing new product features
  • Conducting layout adjustments based on user feedback
  • Be available during regular working hours in one of the following timezones: EST, CST or PST
You’ll Be A Great Fit If You Are
  • Experienced designing and executing UI/UX across web and mobile.
  • Skilled at taking projects from start to finish, owning everything from concepting to production.
  • Someone who prides themselves on their craft and attention to detail, with a good eye for creative that resonates with and engages digitally native consumers.
  • Humble, collaborative, and happy to brainstorm alongside, accept feedback from, and lead teams of internal and external partners to solve creative problems.
  • Deeply knowledgeable about design principles and methods and enjoy keeping up with current trends in user interface design.
  • An effective communicator with experience conveying ideas and concepts through storyboarding, wire framing, prototyping, and presenting to teams and leadership.
  • Loves the fitness industry and helping others

Requirements

  • Relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience designing UI/UX, preferably at a high-growth startup.
  • Strong knowledge of design tools such as Figma and/or Sketch
  • Please share a portfolio of work that you are proud of and that demonstrates your strong craft and collaborative process. We want to hear about your experience, the impacts you've had, and how you work with a team to solve creative problems.
