Here's a quick story: a few years back, AnswerHero hired an Operations Manager to take some of the day-to-day operational responsibility off of the owners' plates. In those three years, the company has more than doubled, so we need more help! We need someone who can do the same, helping coordinate both day-to-day operations and a variety of projects between departments.
These responsibilities which will vary depending on your experience, talent, and preferences, but will generally be some of the following: project management and business process improvement, training, quality assurance, customer service, hiring, and/or daily production capacity. These are all pretty varied, right? You won't be responsible for them all but we want to find the right fit between people and responsibilities, so if you have experience in some but not all you should still apply!
This is very much an "If I don't know something, I'm going to Google it and figure this out" type of mentality that you need to have. You should be the type of person who has a problem, tries to understand the issue behind that problem, researches and presents possible solutions, obtains approval if necessary, and then executes on solving the problem.
You'll be provided with training, support, and guidance but you should be the type of person who doesn't need to be told the same thing twice after you've figured it out. Someone will always be available to help answer questions and provide you the context you need.
