About This Role:

The Senior Executive Assistant, Business Affairs works directly with the CEO, taking a leading role in managing the day to day needs of the business, including financial, operations, and staff issues.

Responsibilities include interacting with partners (such as payroll services, accounting, and financial partners) to handle staffing and operations issues, creating presentations and reports on financial or operations issues, and generally serving as a source of support and backup for the business affairs of the company.

To be successful in this role, you should have strong business instincts and communication skills, develop a high familiarity with the company’s operations, be well-organized, excel at time management, and be able to act without guidance.

Please note that this position requires several years of hands-on experience directly related to business affairs, such as supporting a senior executive, working in a finance or HR department, or coordinating business operations issues. From Day One is a rapidly growing startup and we hope to find a long term match who will grow within and beyond this position to have a meaningful role in company operations.


Responsibilities
  • Act as the point of contact among executives, employees, clients and other external partners
  • Manage information flow in a timely and accurate manner
  • Manage executives’ calendars and set up meetings
  • Make travel and accommodation arrangements
  • Prepare weekly, monthly or quarterly reports
  • Format information for internal and external communication memos, emails, presentations, reports

Requirements

  • A minimum of five years fill time professional experience with no less than three years of directly related experience in an Executive Assistant or business operations position.
  • Fluency with business software such as MS Office products, Google For Business, Quickbooks, Salesforce, and similar
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • A 4-year college/university degree

Benefits

  • This is a full-time, salaried position, with compensation of $75,000 per year.
  • From Day One is a remote-first company, and this position will be remote first. We do maintain a primary office in the DUMBO neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York, and you could expect to get together in person on a regular basis for meetings and working sessions. In addition, many of our team members travel to our conferences, which take place around the country.

  • This position requires a 4-year college/university degree at minimum. Candidates should have a strong academic background and a minimum of 5 years of full-time, professional post-graduation experience.
