.Our summer internship program typically consists of students in their penultimate year of school and runs for ten weeks, from the beginning of June through mid-August.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serving as an active participant on Avascent project teams bringing a rigorous, analytical perspective to client business problems
- Conducting primary and secondary research using both qualitative and quantitative research methods, using internal and external sources, including databases, information services, and internet resources under the guidance of the project manager and project director
- Preparing memos, slides, emails, spreadsheets, and other materials to communicate results of research and analysis and contributing to the preparation of client deliverables
QUALIFICATIONS
- Solid, creative research skills and ability to conduct sophisticated, pragmatic analyses of business and policy issues
- Quantitative skills sufficient to conduct analyses of market trends, company financials and other topics in support of client engagements
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, more senior staff, research contacts, and clients
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- In addition, general knowledge of and interest in the industries served by Avascent is a plus
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE
- Undergraduate or graduate student with a pursued degree in business, international relations, political science, economics, government, engineering or related field from an accredited institution
- Excellence in academics will be viewed as evidence of a prospective Intern’s ability to fulfill successful the requirements of the position
- At least 3 months internship or work experience involving research and/or analysis related to indicated area(s) of study, or some combination of education/experience thereof will be viewed as highly beneficial
