SUMMARY:

The Associate Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for working with Supplier Quality Engineering, Supply Chain, Ramp;D, and Suppliers to collect and manage supplier quality information, and to present charts, reports, and data for the Kestra and Supplier Teams to manage Supplier Quality and drive continuous improvement. This role processes supplier approval requests, and coordinates required data from suppliers to support approval. The Associate Supplier Quality Engineer also creates and manages weekly and monthly Supplier Quality Metrics for Supplier Approvals, Supplier Scorecards, Supplier SCARS, Supplier Process Quality. This role supports low-medium risk supplier audits. The Associate Supplier Quality Engineer also provides support for Supplier continuous improvement projects.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Develops and maintains run charts, pareto charts and action trackers for Supplier in-process quality data.
  • Maintains supplier quality metrics and charts for supplier approvals and supplier SCARS
  • Processes supplier approval requests and requests required data to support supplier approval
  • Collects data and creates quarterly, and annual supplier scorecards
  • Audits Supplier source inspection records and lot acceptance records
  • Develops audit plans, conducts audits, writes audit reports, and manages corrective actions as required for low-medium risk suppliers with direction from Sr Supplier Quality Engineers
  • Identifies and drives supplier continuous improvement through action plans and process qualification reviews and approvals

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical area or equivalent experience
  • Strong MS Office Skills; Excellent proficiency in MS Excel

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
  • Previous experience in Supplier Quality
  • Experience leading continuous improvement projects
  • Experienced with six-sigma and lean manufacturing techniques

WORK ENVIRONMENT
