Job Description
about the director of logistics role:
we are looking for a director of logistics to build the infrastructure to scale our warehouses and our shipping and receiving operations. our business has a dynamic reverse logistics challenge where customers ship us products from all over the world to be photographed. this role must be able to think radically differently about how to intake products, kit them for use on our studio floors (think creative manufacturing), return them to their rightful warehouse location and then efficiently use customer information to either discard the item, ship it back or store it for the customer.
the role will also be responsible for building the entire infrastructure to support the logistics of our product receiving, storage and shipping. by collaborating with an existing team, this will include process development, software implementation and any best practices to improve and innovate in our process.
this is a full-time position located in our denver, minneapolis or austin office. this role will report directly to the COO.

Requirements
an ideal candidate can:
- expertly assess warehouse operations and design scalable systems and processes that improve efficiency, cost and the the client experience
- create intake, receiving, shipping and kitting standards and execute them across a national team and workforce
- build and manage inventory and warehousing teams across all our locations
- assess software systems and negotiate the appropriate selection on the behalf or the business
- lead the integration and onboarding of software systems for successful adoption by internal staff
- motivate teams to achieve a high standard of excellence in the quality of the work that they do
- manage inventory costs, budget and forecasting in coordination with other departments as needed
- travel to our various inventory locations is expected

has experience in:
- 10+ years of logistics or manufacturing experience
- 7+ years of ecommerce or adjacent experience
- 7+ years of management and leadership
- 5+ years of partnering with technology and software teams
- working with 3rd party vendors
- collaborating across national teams
