About the Role:
We are looking for a Director of Product to join our Product team and lead a Product Management team of 6 PMs focused on conceiving, building, and launching user-focused, high-quality products that help our users save money. This is a high-impact role where you will work closely with key members of our leadership team to research, ideate, execute, and iterate on new and existing products. You will lead our full suite of products across travel, ecommerce, and fintech.Key Responsibilities
  • Product Strategy: You will solve business problems and user pain points through creative, data-driven product development; this will include contributing to the product roadmap and strategy, as well as rolling up your sleeves and executing to ship new products and get shit done
  • Business Outcome Ownership:The ability to drive meaningful outcomes for the business by connecting product functionality and goals to the strategic objectives of the PM’s team and the company overall.
  • Product vision and roadmapping: The ability to define an overall vision for the PM’s area of the product that connects to the strategy for the team and the company. The ability to define a clear roadmap of highly prioritized features and initiatives that deliver against that vision.
  • People Management amp; Leadership: You will manage and mentor direct reports with the goal of enabling them to successfully deliver on their product areas, continually improve against these competencies, deliver meaningful business outcomes and achieve their career objectives.
  • Market and Customer Understanding: We believe that the success of our customers comes first. Therefore, as a Group Product Manager, you are expected to be an expert on the user for your product area. As such, constant communication with customers, (engaged, churned and prospect) as well as a deep understanding of the markets in which we operate will be expected. This will be complemented by deep quantitative data to complete the customer picture.
About You
  • You have 10+ years of experience in a Product Management role - preferably in a fast-moving B2C company with 1M+ users
  • You have 3+ years of experience in a senior Product Leadership role leading a team of 10+ Product folks - preferably in a fast-moving B2C company with 1M+ users
  • You have built and owned product roadmaps for both the longer-term (strategic) and short-term (tactical)
  • You have worked on large scale consumer-facing products with a strong understanding of product-building areas including engineering, design, cohort analytics, experimentation, and user research/insights - ideally in one of e-commerce or fintech
  • You thrive in ambiguity and constantly challenge assumptions and biases and can motivate teams to do the same
  • You are excited by formal product techniques, frameworks, and analytical methods
  • You have an entrepreneurial, get-stuff-done mindset and are not afraid to take measured risks backed by data and strong hypotheses
  • You have a growth mindset, humility, and the ability to own your domain and your work. You always seek to up-level yourself and the organization
  • You have great written and verbal communication skills and can successfully spread product thinking throughout the organizatio
