OVERVIEW
As a product focused company Software Engineers work on multiple aspects of our cloud native patch management solution. From our microservices backend to our API driven frontend, Software Engineers use a variety of technologies and frameworks to develop highly scalable quality solutions for our customers. We work in small agile teams where collaboration and continuous improvement are key to success. Engineers are empowered to make decisions, own their work, and maintain it after it’s in production. We value engineers with diverse experiences and skills to bring strong engineering practices to the team. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
  • Working on a small agile feature team to develop, and maintain, features and functionality for Automox’s cloud native endpoint management solution using the most modern technologies and frameworks: AWS, Spring, Vue.js, Kubernetes, etc.
  • Continuing to improve your craft. Write performant and maintainable code. Optimize and refactor when necessary. Improve testing methodology to catch bugs early. Participate in code reviews.
  • Design medium-complex features based on product, engineering and operational requirements. Driving the design reviews and kickoffs.
  • Engaging with the product on a regular basis to better understand the customer and ways it can be improved to create the best experience possible.
  • Collaborate effectively across multiple disciplines; Product, Quality, Operations, Program Management. Challenge assumptions, share dependencies you see, and present information in a timely manner with the right level of detail for the audience.
  • Working in an engineering organization with strong DevOps practices.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
  • Professional experience with any of the following languages, with a strong proficiency with any modern object-oriented language such as Java or Go. Our team is made up of polyglots who enjoy learning and using the right tech and language for the job.
  • Experience in a DevOps culture with a CI/CD practice.
  • Exposure to microservices and cloud services such as AWS or GCP.
  • Demonstrated capacity to clearly and concisely communicate about problems of moderate complexity and propose solutions.
  • A bias for action and results. You commit to work and complete it on time with an emphasis on quality, reliability, and performance.
  • A growth mindset. You recognize you’re always learning and reach out to more senior engineers to provide guidance and feedback when you’re stuck.
  • Comfort working in an iterative software development process
  • An inclination towards transparency, visibility, and documentation
  • Experience working on a medium sized project from concept to production, including proposal, discussion, and execution.
  • Self-motivated and self-managing, with excellent organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with other parts of the organization
  • Ability to thrive in a fully remote organization with high levels of autonomy
  • Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal, sufficient for success in a remote and largely asynchronous work environment
COMPENSATION
Colorado applicants: The minimum annual salary for this role is $122,000. Base pay is part of a rich total compensation package and is included for demonstrative purposes only.
