This is an exciting time to work at Amarillo College! We are seeking a Full-time Upskill Amarillo Success Coach II, Data Analytics who will play a crucial role in our ability to successfully engage individual members (historically called students) to the level required to build a sense of community that will encourage them to continue building skills, even after they find initial work opportunities. The role of the Success Coach is deeply human. Success Coaches serve new and current members with hybrid programs to recognize potential, maximize learning outcomes, remove barriers, and make informed decisions for a successful journey aligned with purposeful work.

The Success Coach Level II not only serves as a Success Coach to a designated area within Upskill Amarillo (Data Analytics), but also assists the Innovation Outpost with expansion into a technological enterprise space (Additive Manufacturing) within the Innovation outpost (IO).

Requirements

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Required:

  • Associate Degree in related field or 5+ years related work experience; and,
  • 3 years of experience in student services within higher education or adult education environment, or similar experience in industry-based customer service.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES

Preferred: Certification in one or more Upskill Amarillo (or similar) programs (may be acquired within 6 months of hire date).

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Provide proactive individualized and group success coaching to members.
  • Provide proactive outreach to the at-risk members within an assigned member cohort (Data Analytics, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, etc.) to connect members to resources and support services such as the Advocacy Resource Center, career services, and disability services.
  • Engage members in the educational planning activities, traditional and/or non-traditional, to help guide members to achieve their career goals.
  • Conduct program members’ intake and onboarding activities such as selection, program enrollment, orientation, managing expectations, software setup, and hardware distribution.
  • Participate in planning live events, online sessions, and content creation.
  • Provide instructional depth and leadership when lead instructors are unexpectedly unavailable to teach the course work.
  • Engage with Instructors and staff, and other departmental staff, as appropriate, to remain current with policies and procedures.
  • Track program expenses, participant performance, and program completion requirements.
  • Execute other duties/responsibilities as directed.
  • As an essential part of the Amarillo College Upskill Amarillo program, seek knowledge of and pledge to actively engage in a Culture of Caring, striving to serve members, employers, co-workers, and the IO community.

ADDITIONAL AND UNIQUE AREAS OF IMPACT:

  • Lead the IO team and act as a SPOC (single point of contact) for the Additive Manufacturing development, planning, and execution at the Innovation Outpost.
  • Research local and regional markets for viability of Additive Manufacturing as it relates to sales, business units, supply chain, services, finances, legal, creation amp; collection to ensure seamless operations and outstanding customer experience.
  • Manage contract set up and implementation.
  • Operate and maintain industrial Additive Manufacturing and support equipment.
  • Provide training on equipment, maintenance, and quality assurance within Additive Manufacturing operations.
  • Supervise technical execution, diagnose and provide feedback on equipment operation.
