The Senior Finance Operations Manager is responsible for standing up and building an automated consumer finance system; managing and overseeing the entire customer financing operation; ensure deals are correctly entered via Salesforce, SAP, DealerTrack (DT) etc.in multiple states; working with IT, CX and other groups ensuring systems work correctly between these groups, various banking partners and customers document preparation, deal fulfilment, compliance, and complete customer billing. Building out reporting and information structures that identify applicant, customer finance and deal trends and structures, finance penetration etc. accurately and deeply to inform the company of the finance groups progress and tracking is likewise very important. Standing up and building out the online finance function is critical to this role’s success. This role supports our sales and delivery teams to smoothly complete the sales process for ElectraMeccanica’s customers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure strategic vision is built out and planned to improve the user experience
    • Finance should assist and not hinder the sales process
    • It is an opportunity to streamline the traditional financing and payments processes of auto-mobility with a vision of digitizing and automating the systems.
    • Create options and opportunities to increase the sales and finance penetration of the EMV vehicle range
  • Oversee Sales Finance Operations:
    • Stand up and execute systems processes as automated, scalable solutions
    • Ensure deals are compliant with federal and state regulations
    • Oversee, manage and check fees and sales taxes charged for deals
    • Ensure all associated payments of fees to government and NGO’s.
  • Oversee documentation processes both e-contracts and wet/physical contracts, to obtain approval from finance sources on all finance deals.
    • Planning on automating and on-lining as much of it as possible
  • Ensure that all required documentation is obtained and submitted to the finance source so that finance contracts are paid in a timely manner.
  • Help identify verifying any government electric vehicle incentive program claim.

Team Management

  • Recruit, manage, mentor and develop a team providing leadership and guidance.
  • Implement a culture of continuous review and scrutiny of processes to avoid complacency.
  • Conducts performance management and sets goals with their team members.
  • Establish a level of accountability within their team, through empowering and establishing clear responsibilities.
  • Displays dedication, time management, cadence and effectively elevates their team when needed. Identify the beginning to end processes in the analyst and operating systems environments.
  • Assist with change management.

Requirements

  • A minimum of eight (8+) years in an automotive field is required; OEM, Dealership, Automotive SaaS, Captive Finance etc. preferred.
  • Experience working with DealerTrack software is required.
  • Experience with direct to consumer sales processing is considered an asset.
  • A bachelor's degree is preferred and experience in industries such as finance, automotive, and insurance.
  • Automotive accounting experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of dealership finance and insurance procedures.
  • Strong computer skills to work across multiple systems; DealerTrack, Salesforce, SAP, Microsoft Office, etc.
  • Experience and knowledge of working with the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is desired.
  • Quick learner, ability to adapt to frequent change and to work in fast pace environment.<
