About Encodia

Encodia is a rapidly growing platform company that is developing a new generation of protein analysis tools based on single-molecule protein sequencing. Our goal is to make protein sequencing easy and ubiquitous by using a novel reverse-translation technology that turns peptide sequences into DNA. The DNA can be read by a DNA sequencer, providing a path to breakthrough proteomics research at a scale that is not practical or cost-effective using current technologies.


Job Summary

We are seeking an innovative and collaborative HR leader to oversee human resources planning and operations to support the rapid growth of our organization. Reporting to the VP of People amp; Culture, this position will play an essential role in providing consultation and support to business leaders to optimize our people strategies and strengthen our culture.

The ideal candidate will utilize their breadth of HR skills and experience to develop and lead HR programs providing expertise in the areas of employee relations, workforce planning, performance management, rewards, retention, coaching/development, organizational effectiveness, diversity and inclusion, and ad hoc projects as necessary.

Requirements

  • Identify organizational opportunities in order to develop and implement HR programs and processes which are aligned with organizational values and the overall business strategy
  • Drive ongoing HR operating mechanisms like performance and pay reviews, talent planning, open enrollment, etc.
  • Contribute to building our culture by actively engaging and communicating with employees across all levels and weaving our values into everything we do.
  • Partners with leaders to develop talent plans which identify opportunities to build capabilities through talent acquisition and talent development.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues in partnership with leaders and employees
  • Advise employees and leaders on HR initiatives including performance management, talent development, and people programs and policies.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders to support them in carrying out their business and functional plans as well as aiding in their own development


What you bring to this role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, HR Management, Organizational Development or related field
  • 10+ years professional experience in Human Resources, with significant experience as an HR Business Partner
  • Proven experience in multiple HR disciplines: recruiting, performance management, employee relations, talent development, organizational development, diversity and inclusion, compensation, benefits, engagement and retention.
  • Comprehensive business and HR acumen, including strong problem-solving skills, good judgment, critical thinking, and analysis.
  • Demonstrated change leadership that drives substantial and continuous business improvement.
  • Naturally leverages people analytics to identify organizational opportunities and develop actionable solutions
  • Ability to navigate, influence, and collaborate across varying levels of the organization.
  • Excellent time management skills and attention to detail, with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organizational, problem solving and multitasking skills

Highly Desirable

  • MBA or advanced degree highly desirable but not required
  • Proven program and project management skills
  • Experience in high-growth organization in the biotech sector
