Job Description

You develop breakthrough concepts and write brilliant copy for integrated marketing campaigns. We are in search of that gifted someone to come up with ideas and run with them. To work with cross-functional teams to create what’s next for brands that want to destroy convention. We need someone who is passionate about the craft. Who can work as part of a team but is also self-motivated, can take charge, and when necessary, push ideas further.

  • Collaborate with the Art Director/Designer, contribute to the creation of concepts through active participation in brainstorms and other idea-generating sessions
  • Understand the various departments and roles and how you work with them (BA, strategy, UX, etc.)
  • Own small to mid-sized projects
  • Concept and execute award-winning work that achieves clients’ objectives
  • Push yourself to think beyond what the client has asked for
  • Understand the creative direction set forth for each project and develop work that supports that direction
  • Develop a keen knowledge of client's business objectives, brand, voice, consumer, and competitive landscape to inform insightful copy ideas
  • Develop content (long form, short form, headlines, naming, social, etc.) for clients under the direction of the project’s creative lead
  • Write compelling and grammatically clean long-form copy as well as effective headlines, taglines, and calls to action
  • Write in multiple styles, formats, and tones
  • Develop conceptual skills and exhibit strong executional skills
  • Utilize feedback/direction from creative lead to generate multiple explorations to the satisfaction of lead
  • Understand how to objectively look at a brand in contrast to the subjectivity of your own personal taste
  • Write in a manner that reflects brand tone
  • Recognize the importance of appraising and editing your own work, as you are becoming more skilled in doing so
  • Present work confidently and clearly to clients and senior leadership

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of digital and/or advertising copywriting experience
  • Strong creative portfolio
  • Good presentation skills
  • Curiosity for new technologies and emerging trends
  • Highly responsible, collaborative and self-motivated
  • Strong time management skills
  • Works enthusiastically, respectfully and collaboratively with other project team members, has a clear understanding of how a project team operates, their responsibilities throughout a project and what is expected in critiques and team meetings
