As the Director of Global Talent Acquisition (TA) you are responsible for the strategy of IO’s talent acquisition lifecycle. This position will have a global scope, leading our decentralised, distributed TA team and partnering with our senior talent acquisition manager to support the evolution of our talent attraction and acquisition. You will use progressive talent acquisition tools and methods, and own the design and management of the articulation and effectiveness of IO’s employer brand.

You have demonstrated experience, growing a global TA team, in an emerging technology exponential growth company. You have done this before - you will be bringing your experience and ability to execute and applying it in a customised way to suit the uniqueness of IOG. Ideally you are coming to us with Blockchain experience, or are familiar with the industry. You have led high performing teams who have worked under high growth distributed models. You have partnered directly with C Suite, and can develop and execute on a strategy which complements the complexity of our maturing ecosystem. You will inspire, challenge and own the evolution of our TA business model.
You will be the brand ambassador of our business, deeply ingrained in our ecosystem to understand where talent lives, building a global go-to-market strategy for the development of our scaling talent solution needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and cultivate strong relationships with business leaders across a range of disciplines and geographies to build strategies to source, identify and recruit top candidates for immediate and growth needs
- Collaborate with business leaders (in Engineering, Product, Research, Sales, Services, Legal, Finance, and other key teams) to translate hiring projections into talent acquisition strategy and plan
- Manage a workforce planning process that projects the future skill and capability requirements for the company; bring market knowledge to bear on competitive external talent trend
- Own the design, development, measurement and execution of our global TA strategy
- Build and maintain effective relationships with executive-level candidates to assist with external and internal hiring efforts for senior positions.
- Develop and manage vendor relationships to provide help with critical executive searches.
- Provide thought leadership to the business on Talent Acquisition and candidate experience practices in order to provide scale and flexibility.
- Stay current and informed on industry best practices including new and innovative talent acquisition strategies, systems and technologies; makes recommendations and drives continuous improvement in global talent acquisition practices.
- Provide input to the development and deployment of a compelling employment brand through multiple channels, including the strategic use of social media.
- Develop initiatives leveraging digital marketing to deliver a superior talent acquisition brand.
- Implement and oversee best practices to ensure an effective and high quality recruiting service.
- Develop global talent acquisition metrics with the ability to generate and analyze forecasting metrics and hard and soft data to regularly inform management.
Requirements
Your Expertise
- A proven track record of recruiting business-changing executives who are exceptional at their craft.
- Experience in working with a founder and building a company, through talent development
- Experience recruiting for a variety of technical positions and qualifications for roles, and ability to gain conceptual understanding of a wide variety of functional/technical/engineering concepts
- Demonstrable strategy development, execution and metrics across the whole TA lifecycle
- The ability to be flexible and adaptable to our unique approach to hiring, as well as quickly changing priorities and business needs.
- Strong project management skills, with a focus on streamlining processes.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills to include influencing others and relationship management
- Ensure regulatory aspects of the full cycle recruitment process is compliant with local and/or federal and state legislation
- Network in and outside of the company to continue to build recruiting and business knowledge
- Demonstrable experience managing full-cycle recruiting and employer branding initiatives
- Have managed a multi layered, multi disciplined TA team - mentoring and coaching junior to senior team members.
- Ability to design and manage processes with appropriate degrees of consistency for a global distributed business - resourcing strategies (both from a vendor, contractor and employee perspective)
