Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior MuleSoft Developer to join our IT Solutions team. As a Senior MuleSoft Developer, you will work hands on with the design, development, and implementation of API services to solve mission-critical business challenges using MuleSoft’s Anypoint Platform for our Marketing, Sales, Service, Billing and Network Engineering applications. We have an extensive portfolio of world-class platforms: SFDC, Marketo, MuleSoft, Oracle JD Edwards, UKG, Lenel, FNT and RFCode. As a subject expert in the field, you will provide technical guidance on MuleSoft implementation projects, evaluate technical and functional requirements, develop solutions on standard methodologies for on-premise, cloud, and hybrid integration, and API management.

Essential Functions:

  • Technical hands-on candidate whose primary responsibility will be designing, developing, and testing solutions to integrate with disparate business services.
  • Lead API lifecycle development; responsible for software development and code quality.
  • Demonstrate and promote secure and patterned coding practices.
  • Responsible for mapping, designing spec for transformation between API Gateway and backend service.
  • Work closely with business partners, Enterprise Solution Architect, and technical groups to review, design, and implement requirements and strategy.
  • Ensure adequate monitoring is in place for solution to properly monitor, analyze, and alert appropriate personnel proactively when availability concerns are recognized.
  • Perform research, analyze technology, and apply best practices to design solutions.
  • Study and develop a comprehensive understanding of the MuleSoft Platform. Validate, test, and implement new products/applications, modules/features within application, application releases and services.
  • Provide guidance to others on API best practices. Respond to and resolve incidents escalated from operational teams and performance tuning requests utilizing critical thinking skills.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to services, solutions, and interfaces.
  • Provide training and mentoring for other personnel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to assist the team and organization’s success.
  • Responsibilities may require occasional evening and weekend work in response to needs of the systems being supported.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills amp; Abilities:

  • Exceptional knowledge on end-to-end administration of Mulesoft infrastructure for the cloud/ on-premise.
  • Hands-on experience on routine admin activities e.g., Server restart, API restart, deployment
  • Experienced with Load Balancer configuration and maintenance for Cloud/ on-premise.
  • Familiarity with Firewall whitelisting/Firewall configuration
  • Solid understanding of Security Admin - Maintain Client Id and Secret for applications registered on API Proxy
  • Elevated critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and present solutions that are consistent with business objectives and strategy.
  • Demonstratable ability to manage tasks independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
  • Willingness to learn from mistakes and apply constructive feedback to improve performance.
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Verified skills to communicate highly complex technical information clearly and articulately for all levels and audiences.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information technology or related studies highly desired.
  • Overall 7+ Years of Industry experience with a minimum of 3+ years of experience in using of MuleSoft architecture and full lifecycle implementation of MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, API Management and Messaging.
  • Proven track record to automate.
  • Proven leadership abilities including effective knowledge sharing, conflict resolution, facilitation of open discussions, fairness and displaying appropriate levels of assertiveness.
  • Experience delivering in a variety of development frameworks (Scrum, Waterfall, Iterative, Kanban, etc.)
