Pay Range: $85,000 to $105,000

Location: San Antonio, TX

SUMMARY:

We provide intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM), which is a special ancillary service performed during certain surgeries that take place proximal to vital nervous structures. We protect the patient against neurological injury during surgery. Our providers are out-of-network with most payors, and we fight against insurance companies for medical necessity, contract gap exceptions, and reimbursement rates. These fights often require technical, creative approaches to problem-solving. As such, we employ a sharp billing team to keep our revenue cycle as clean as possible.

What you will need:

  • CNIM certification Required
  • 3-5 year of experience
  • Master’s in Neruo Science preferred
  • Complete understanding of equipment and programs associated with monitoring.
  • Adaptable to changing work hours and days.
  • Ability to work in adverse conditions for long periods of time, and to lift over 50 pounds.
  • Technical troubleshooting skills necessary to perform neurophysiology adequately and to overcome challenges in the operating room.
  • Ambition to take on new challenges with the dedication to collaborate on new projects.
  • Have a coachable attitude, with the ability to work as a leader and a team member.

What you will be doing:

  • Responsible for reading, knowing, and following updated Axis Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and protocols.
  • Perform modalities per physician request and Axis SOPs.
  • Keep equipment clean and well-maintained, including hardware and software updates.
  • Follow OSHA and hospital policies.
  • Adhere to Joint Commission policies.
  • Follow HIPAA Guidelines.
  • Respect the patient, family, and hospital employees.
  • Communicate with assigned technical director weekly.
  • Report to the scheduler and your manager when an add-on or canceled procedure occurs.
  • Responsible for checking voicemails, text messages, e-mails, and communications for the surgery schedule.
  • Actively participate in the Axis Continuing Education Program.
  • Maintain board certification.
  • Be identified as an Ideal Team Player, and constantly be working on being Humble, Hungry, and Smart
  • Responsible for all other duties as assigned by the regional technical director and/or other appropriate managers.
