Terran Orbital Corporation is seeking a(n) experienced Head of Compensation and Benefits who will be responsible for the entire remuneration and benefits system of the organization. The role builds, implements, and oversees all aspects of salary, benefits, and bonuses across the whole organization. The position is highly strategic but includes leadership and management of day-to-day functions.

Reporting to the SR. VP and Chief Human Resource Officer, a successful Head of Compensation and Benefits must be an expert in compensation strategy and must collaborate at the senior management level with every department in the organization. Their effectiveness has a significant impact on employee satisfaction, staff retention, and the productivity of the whole organization.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Competitive Benchmarking of current and future compensation and benefits
  • In conjunction with the Chief Human Resource Officer, serve as Terran Orbital’s compensation subject matter expert
  • Assist in the creation of a companywide Total Rewards/Compensation philosophy
  • Develop a remuneration and reward strategy (including Bonus and Equity plans)
  • Implement and oversee remuneration plans
  • Advise senior managers on compensation issues (offers, promotions, etc.)
  • Manage the annual organizational salary review process

Requirements

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Accounting, Finance, or Payroll
  • At least ten years’ experience in Compensation, Benefits, and/or Total Rewards
  • Global benefit experience including knowledge of health and welfare plans, leaves and time off practices, and retirement plans.
  • Understanding of compensation principles, including job structures, salary ranges, annual salary review processes, promotions, and benchmarking
  • Proven experience designing comprehensive companywide compensation plans
  • Expert knowledge of accounting
  • Strategic planning expertise
  • At least five years’ successful team leadership experience
  • Expert knowledge of common HRIS
  • Conflict resolution and change management skills
  • Strong grasp of project management
  • Collaborative and client-centric mindset

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This is largely a sedentary role with heavy computer usage. Position may require incumbent to move files, walk around the office, and bend/stand as necessary.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
