NEUROLOGIST Position
We are searching for an exceptional Neurologist to lead and grow our Neurology department here at Hudson Health. With over 1,000 existing Neurology patients, two state-of-the-art offices in lower Manhattan, and a strong clinical support team in place, we are looking for a passionate leader to take our Neurology services to the next level. Our ideal candidate is a passionate, highly-skilled physician with an empathetic personality and a desire to deliver only the highest standard of patient care. Our candidate leads our team of physician assistants, patient care coordinators and technicians and develops protocols to ensure a best-in-class patient experience.
Requirements
Responsibilities include
- Perform physical and neurological examinations of patients
- Diagnose conditions and disorders based on physical and cognitive exams amp; test results
- Develop personalized treatment plans, and manage and adapt treatment of patients depending on progress
- Communicate and coordinate with other providers and medical staff to ensure patients receive best possible care
- Order diagnostic tests like blood tests, spinal fluid tests and imaging tests such as MRIs
- Analyze reports, test results, medical records and examinations to diagnose condition of patients and propose treatment options
- Prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens to treat identified and documented medical conditions
- Communicate treatment plans and home care instructions to patient
- Maintain current knowledge of trends in area of expertise and communicate to team
- Practice safety-first mentality and comply with all company policies, procedures and objectives, ongoing quality improvement objectives, safety- amp; infection control standards
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all federal and state health information privacy laws
Education, Certification, Experience
- 3 years+ experience as Neurologist, preferably in New York City
- MD degree from accredited medical school
- Successful completion of residency and at an accredited healthcare institution
- Board certification in Neurology
- Current NY Medical License
- Current NY DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) License
- Secondary language is a plus (Mandarin, Cantonese, Spanish)
- Experience in EMR AthenaHealth, Google Suite is a plus
