The Purchasing Manager is responsible for exercising business judgment to develop and define a comprehensive strategy, resulting in superior cost and availability performance. The Purchasing Manager is responsible for sourcing equipment, goods and services and managing vendors. The successful candidate will be able to perform strategic procurement activities across multiple categories of spend, search for better deals and find more profitable suppliers.
- Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies
- Ensure procurement strategies are known to all relevant parts of the business in order to maximize potential cost savings/avoidance opportunities
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external business partners/clients; seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
- Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power
- Oversee supplier performance
- Determine quantity and timing of deliveries.
Requirements
- Pass background check and screening requirements
- 3 years of purchasing experience preferred.
- Proven experience in problem solving
- Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
- A knack for negotiation and networking
Work Schedule
Must be flexible with their work schedule and manage their time accordingly to support the business
SALARY
$50,000 - $65,000 annually based on experience.
