Terran Orbital is seeking a Configuration Manager based at our Melbourne, FL location to support key elements of mission and communications subsystems for innovative, high-capability small satellites. Exciting product development activities will include phased array antennas, software defined radios, radar systems, and encryption devices. Terran Orbital is a leading worldwide provider of nanosatellite and microsatellite vehicles, services, and solutions to commercial and government customers.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The Configuration Manager will be involved in all phases of the development life cycle, participating in design sessions, and supporting the management of electronics and software design documentation.
• The Configuration Manager will take a leading role in the documentation release process, drawing management, and bill-of-materials management.
• Additional responsibilities as necessary, including support of other program or integrated product teams when subject matter expertise, review, or input is required.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• 5+ years’ experience in configuration and documentation management
• Experience leading the planning, development, and delivery of CM training
• Experience leading and managing CM activities including schedule and status reporting
• The ability to organize and use other document management tools (e.g., SharePoint, Confluence) as a repository for documentation that is under configuration control
• Experience implementing and ensuring compliance with hardware, software, and documentation version control processes, policies, plans, and procedures
• Experience maintaining the CM environment for hardware and software product build, staging, testing, and integration
• Experience assisting as required with infrastructure architecture planning, using design concepts for enhancing performance and availability
• Experience scheduling and performing CM audits and reporting findings
• Meticulous attention to detail

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This is largely a sedentary role with heavy computer usage. Position may require incumbent to move files, walk around the office, and bend/stand as necessary.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
