Research Associate/Sr. Research Associate, In Vivo Pharmacology

Santa Ana Bio (SAB) is a precision Immunology bio-therapeutics company focused on the development of disruptive therapies for the treatment of autoimmune, allergic, and inflammatory disorders. SAB is seeking an experienced, creative, and motivated Research Associate/Senior Research Associate to join our growing team. In this role, the successful candidate must have hands-on experience with running animal models for antibody target therapy and precision immunology.

The ideal candidate will have direct experience in murine pre-clinical screening models including proficiency in IP, IV and SC dosing. Additional experience in cellular immunology along with tissue collection and isolation of immune cell populations from mice is desirable.

Roles and Responsibilities of the Position:

• Maintain and establish cell lines using standard cell culture techniques in support of in vivo studies
• Excellent aseptic cell culture technique for handling human and murine primary cells
• Plan and/or execute in vivo efficacy and PK studies by utilizing syngeneic mouse models
• Prepare dosing solution
• Contribute to discovery and development projects for antibody therapy by conducting in vivo studies
• Proficient in multiple routes of dosing which includes IV, PO, IP, SC
• Tissue collection, blood collection and serum/plasma sample processing
• Ability to perform rodent surgery/necropsy
• Troubleshoot experiments in a timely manner
• Maintain detailed records of experimental methods and results
• Analyze, interpret, and present the data to the team and/or organization
• Actively participate in group discussions and collaborate with colleagues throughout the organization

Requirements:

BS degree in biology or related fields with 2+ years of experience in the immunology/autoimmune field, preferably in a biotech setting.
