Results for Development (R4D) is seeking an intern to join its Accountability and Citizen Engagement (ACE) Practice.Responsibilities

Business Development amp; Research
  • Conduct research to support funding opportunities that the ACE practice is pursuing
  • Identify new funding opportunities and/or new funders
  • Create workplans to follow through on business development applications
  • Research funder priorities and trends and present the information to senior team members
  • Support ongoing business development efforts, as needed
  • Maintain and update relevant databases
  • Source and collate materials for pursuit of business development opportunities
Research
  • Support the documentation and background research for the LTRC review.
  • Conduct research as-requested by team members to be used in practice publications.
  • Draft blogs and other communication pieces in support of the practice’s work.
Other
  • Other opportunities may arise as programming needs shift and based on the intern’s interest
Qualifications
  • Final year undergraduate student or first-year graduate student, recent college graduate, or any individual with prior experience in an office environment
  • Previous experience in business development and/or research a plus
  • Demonstrated interest in global development issues, especially governance and natural resource management
  • Experience conducting research and synthesizing information into short, easily digestible summaries
  • Interest in presenting information creatively for an internal audience
  • The ability to set priorities and handle competing time and resource demands
  • High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
