Job Description

Armstrong Transport Group, LLC is a third-party logistics provider headquartered in Charlotte, NC.

Our premier nationwide network of independent agents work at 125 locations around the country. We match our customers’ needs with the variety of services we provide. From LTL to full truckload, international, intermodal (and everything in between) there is no project too big or too small for Armstrong to handle. Today, we have over 150 agent offices and more than 1,000 logistics professionals working around the country. Our customers, carriers, and agents are supported by a team of over 100 corporate employees.


Please note this is a hybrid role with Monday and Wednesdays in the office.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead full user experience and design process for new product development and enhancements
  • Work with Product Manager to understand scope definition for product initiatives
  • Work with Business Analysts to gather feature requirements using various techniques to support an improved user experience
  • Work with Business Analysts to produce wireframes and designs that pair with clearly defined feature requirements
  • Lead developer design review meetings, ensuring technology capabilities support design
  • Participate in grooming sessions to assist Business Analysts in requirements discussion
  • Participate in all relevant Agile ceremonies, such as daily standups, Sprint Retrospectives, and Sprint Planning
  • Assist with outward communication regarding technology initiatives ensuring user experience is effectively communicated
  • Work with our Marketing department to remain current on market insight and areas of opportunity


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Axure and Adobe XD, or similar
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as solid group presentation skills
  • Ability to interact with others effectively and professionally, regardless of position
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills


Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced Agile environment
  • Experience working with a collaborative issue-tracking tool, such as Jira or Azure DevOps
  • Experience using content collaborative platforms such as SharePoint or Confluence
  • Experience using a collaborative whiteboard platform such as Miro
  • Freight brokerage industry knowledge
