As a Senior Mulesoft Developer (NJ-based/Hybrid preferred but not required), you are responsible for the development, configuration and delivery of Anypoint Platform based development projects using API-driven design, messaging patterns and application development best practices. This position collaborates with the Salesforce Solution Architect, Enterprise Architect and Business Analyst to determine the technical requirements in order to provide custom solutions. The Senior MuleSoft Developer is responsible for analyzing platform updates, recommending system enhancements and documenting specifications for solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage directly with the architecture, business and delivery teams to understand their requirements and design, develop and implement API-led solutions that are scalable, secure and robust
  • Design and develop reusable assets and components to support and facilitate API and integration projects for internal and external partners
  • Assist with solution planning for new projects, including translating business requirements into a technical solution and requirements that include scalable design and best practice development patterns and frameworks
  • Oversee and participate in all phases of the integration development life cycle on project engagements, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, documentation, deployment and support of APIs amp; Integrations leveraging the MuleSoft Anypoint platform
  • Identify risks related to API / integration delivery and work with the architecture and service teams to proactively mitigate them
  • Act as the integration lead and consultant to address internal and external questions, make architecture recommendations, educate delivery team and support the solution
  • Provide business application support to end-users through problem solving, developing innovative solutions and existing solution maintenance
  • Continuously learn and understand new features and the functionality of Anypoint platform capabilities
  • Coach, mentor and support team members to increase the quality of the build and the velocity of the team
  • Oversee the quality of the code engineered by the team, perform flow/code reviews to ensure adherence to best practice and established guidelines
  • Help define a unit testing strategy using MUnit; lead the development of MUnit-based test suites and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines
  • Define, configure and maintain API policies in CloudHub (security, quality of service, tokenization, etc.)
  • Review, collaborate and refine technical requirements with the solution architect and business analyst prior to development

Requirements

  • BA in Computer Science or related technical field
  • Salesforce Developer Certification preferred
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience developing and supporting enterprise integrations
    • At least 4 years of experience in analysis, design, development and application deployment of large scale Java centric enterprise application system
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform
  • At least 2 full life cycle MuleSoft Project experiences (Analysis, Design, Dev, Testing, Deployment)
  • Experience in message modeling (XML, JSON) and 3rd Party MuleSoft Anypoint Connectors
  • Experience in developing, deploying and managing flows using Anypoint Studio and CloudHub
  • Experienced troubleshooting Mule ESB, including working with debuggers, flow analyzers and configuration tools
  • Experience in Mule version 4.4 in MuleSoft ESB, MuleSoft Cloud hub
  • Demonstrated experience implementing Mule ESB architecture, rules, caching, etc.
  • Hands-on experience in defining REST APIs using RAML
  • Experience and understanding of Agile and SDLC methodologies
  • Experience in the following is a plus
    • Salesforce integration experience with best practices using MuleSoft
    • Ability to write/maintain extensions (Mulesoft Java SDK)
    • Salesforce knowledge experience required and Apex development experience

The salary range for this position is $83,000 - $135,000.
Final salary is competitive and commensurate with exp
